I need some advice on restaurants in the N. Atlanta/ Marietta area. My girlfriend and I will be there on Friday the 18th and I would like to take her somewhere nice but reasonable. I can find my way around well enough so I don't mind if it's a little out of the way. As a matter of fact, a nice little local place would probably be a good place for us to enjoy a night out together. Thanks in advance for all suggestions. Steve |

It might be a bit far north, but I love Henry's Louisiana Grill: http://www.chefhenrys.com/henrys/index.html And I'm not even a big cajun food fan. |

Thanks for the link, Sanchez. That place looks pretty good, and I like Cajun. The location is great as we are coming down to Kennesaw from Lafayette and will be heading back up about 7 or 8PM. |

Hey y'all. The thread for the "Buells in the Alps II" meet this July in Little Switzerland, NC is up: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 665827.html?1327420535 We had a pretty good crowd from SC last year, as well as several C3'ers. Hope to see some 3%'ers there this year. |

I'm not completely sold yet, but I think I've decided to sell my 9R and find an XT. Any thoughts or suggestions? BTW, it's gotta be an XT, not an X. I want the street suspension, need the bags, and for those who've met me, you know I need the lower seat height. Any maintenance/recall/wear items to look out for? |

I know rear wheel bearings were an issue on some of them, and that the Orange-sided bearings are the good ones. Also, several have mentioned trouble with the shaft for the throttle butterfly. Are there any known issues besides those? |

I'm pretty sure the wheel bearing issues were only the on 2006 X's. Maybe the TB shaft as well? I replaced my bearings early because I had the wheels powder coated, so I never ran into that. My TB shaft did break. IIRC it was around 33k miles. Look for an 08+ if you can find one. 2008 is when the Uly got the new steering head with the increased travel. |

The XT's started in 08, so it'd be after that. do you mean the 08's got a further lock-to-lock on the steering? Now that you mention it, I remember reading that somewhere. But other than wheel bearings and the TB shaft, that's it? No other issues? |

Yeah, in 2008 the Uly's got further lock-to-lock steering. The 2006 and 2007 are tough to u-turn. I don't recall any other issues. |

Is anyone else making it to Daytona this week? My girlfriend got us tickets for the Daytona 200 for my birthday last year, so she and I are heading down Thursday night, staying through Sunday. I'm REALLY frickin excited about seeing the 1190 in action. As long as we don't get hit by a drunken poser, we should have a really good time. So yeah, anyone else making it down there? |

Sweet. I ordered a used saddlebag for my Uly from eBay, and the key matches the rest of my set. What are the odds?? |

Yea... "I remember when..." Hope All's well with everyone. For the most part, I'm just going along in the "rat race." On occasion, I'm able to get away for an adventure or two. A couple of weeks ago I rode up to NC for the "Big Jim Ride"; what great time, great people, and beautiful roads. On the way home, I took the long way home, and stopped at Rider's Hill and bumped into Buellish. Good seeing you Mike. I'll give you a call the next time I can get out that way. Be good and have fun all... |
