I have a chance to pick up what I think is a race header for my M2, the header on it now is pretty banged up. The reason I think it is a race header is because it points to the back of the bike instead of angling off to the side. Anyway, my question is: do I need a special muffler to run this thing, or is there a way to use the can that's on there now (brand unknown)? |

Make sure it's not an S2 or Westwind header. They also pointed to the back. This is the S2. The joint is behind the mount.

You'll need a race muffler or D&D Race muffler. If you're really looking for an M2 race header and muffler combination I would suggest sending me a PM. Here's the race muffler: And the other side of the race header: (Message edited by brinnutz on November 04, 2011) |

Don't really need a race setup, just had an opportunity to replace my banged up header fairly cheap. If I have to get a race muffler I guess I will pass on it and look for a stock header. Nice looking bike BTW!! You did some nice upgrades to it! |
