Ok winter is approaching quick and its been rather nice out here in MN and not many days left to ride its already dipping into freezing at night so I wanted to take the bike out so had her warming up got the gear on then ...... my plate is gone fell off on the last ride somewhere. I needed a new one anyway but bad timing. So I take it as a hint and started the winter rebuild project. |

Funny had the same thing happen on my X1 a couple years ago. I think I rode for about a week before someone else pointed it out to me. Glad I didn't get the message from a higher (ticket writing) authority |

This is a common problem, huh? Mine fell off when I was at the zoo about a month ago. The wind knocked the last bit of connection apart from my makeshift mount. Fortunately I went to the zoo with my mom that day, her jeep has enough stuff in it that I was able to make up a new mount on the spot. This one is made from a super strength twist tie... I swear it works! |

I had the plate fall off on my '64 XLCH a few years back, but that bike would literally make the pavement vibrate when it idled. Surprised it didn't happen sooner. |
