My bike had to go back to the dealer to fix a fault and I got it back today. It may sound stupid but seeing it again brought a tear to my eye. In the past I have got back on a bike after something like a two week holiday and loved the experience all over again but the Uly is something else. After my ride tonight I think if a policeman had stopped me he would have thought I was on drugs or something. Man what a machine. Perfect/precise steering, suspension and fueling. Amazing frame. Feels light for its weight, goes like Thor's hammer, cheap insurance, good gas miles, cheap to buy and maintenance is easy. The main one though is the bike has that hard to define "thing" about it. Its the one that makes you go out for a ride but with no place in mind to go. My only fear is I have a better chance at buying a used space shuttle than a 2010 Uly again as they are seriously rare. LOL Very cool, Uly_man, um . . . . until next time! LOL Best of luck though. Hey, I agree with your assessment but, after fiddling with ECM protection several times recently and still having a tiny rubbing on one wire connector I can empathize with your mixed feelings the other day. | ||

Two things were wrong. One it needed a new side stand sensor (I proved that) and the second, so they said, was a O2 sensor problem. They did a logged ECM run and sent it to HD for info. And they had changed out the ECM to no effect as well. So until the next time I guess??? From the start fuel injection on bikes was a problem and even today some new bikes still do. Then again something as simple as solid earths should have been right in the first place. I will not forgive anyone for that mess-up. Its basic stuff with low Volt electronics and all the makers have had it at some point. So not just a Buell thing but a pain in the ass none the less. |
