I want to vent the pods and see if that will bring the cooling temperatures down. $120.00 to experiment on does not seem like such a good idea. | ||

You probably already figured this out, but just in case: There really is not much cooling benefit in cutting up the outer pods because the inlet air is contained and channeled by the louvers to the radiator. Unless you cut holes in the louvers, there really is no way to get air from the outer surface of the pods to the radiator. | ||

I was thinking about maybe "adding" some vent holes in the rear or back cover towards the rear after the fan. But have since rethought my earlier idea. Reason being if I did this than I think less air would be forced through the radiator and out the fan like it is now and I would end up with more heated air out the rear of the pod and closer to my knees and lower legs. | ||

Just hop on eBay, you can usually find them slightly scuffed up on the cheap. Or find someone who deals in lots of salvage parts selling a nice set and asking if they might have some damaged ones lying around. | ||
