Well, got my '10 wheel assembly today. Nicely boxed. Solidly packed. No damage. Gripe is...it's too CLEAN. It's going on my Ulysses, dammit!! I'm gonna have to leave it out in the rainy, muddy field for a day or so after I get the tire mounted, just so it looks like it belongs on the bike!! (just kidding of course, Al...you guys rock as always!) |

That reminds me. I have to order one up too. My rear tire is getting smooth. |

Yeah, that's what did it for me. 20k+ on stock black bearings; bald tire; and Buelltoberfest coming up. Oh, and I had the $ for it this month |

Last time I mounted a new tire on my 2010 rim I grabbed the cones on the balancer stand and spun the wheel....smooth as a babies behind... |

Rwven, please forgive me, I have tried to email you and send you private message, do you have any more passenger peg re-locators? Sorry to interrupt the thread. |

It's OK. It's my thread, and I have Ron's brackets on my bike (and I like Ron - he bought his bike from me!). Hijack away And Ron...my '06 wheel with the black bearings is also smooth as silk...but murphy's law seems to be popping up even MORE these days in my life, so I figure I'll jump while I can (while the wheels are still out there). Now, I have a spare. With spare-spare bearings. Just can't decide if I should buy another sprocket and build a complete wheel (I already have a "spare" rotor), or swap 'em over. Gotta buy bolts anwyay...might as well get another pulley, eh? |

Sacrilege. Besides, I dumped it tonight getting it out of the truck. Need dirt and muck to cover the scars while they scab over (or I get some touchup paint). Ma Weather thought it'd be funny as hell...pull into the driveway, got five drops of rain as I got out of the truck. By the time I had the ramps set up, it was Armageddon Rain. No bedliner in the truck. Nice, slick, wet, painted steel. Soon as the rear wheel started down the ramp, the front wheel followed. Quickly. Without turning - just sliding. Mental math? "release brake, lift feet, get to the ground BEFORE falling over." Did that. Couple new scratches on the right saddlebag, and if the damn grass wasn't so wet I'd have been able to get foot-traction (shrug). Best part? By the time I had the bike back up, and the ramps put away...the rain was completely gone. hahaveryfunnymothe........rrrrr....... But...clean the Uly. That's some funny stuff right there |
