I had the right mirror on my S3 get busted today. I did a search for S3 mirrors and came up empty. I thought there was a thread that a Kawasaki mirror would work, couldn't find it. Looking at American Sport Bike's website, they show that a 2004+ XB9R/XB12R mirrors will work. Has anyone done this and can you see behind you? |

I've done the firebolt mirrors and they work, but they stick out and down...blind spot mirrors are next on my list. Otherwise it works. You do have to do some tweaking to get the bolts to line up in the mounts. I had to enlarge them slightly. |

There was a thread about kawa mirrors on a S2. I've got a set of S3 mirrors I'll sell. Pm me if you're interested, I'll send some pics. Andyh (Message edited by hotrats on October 15, 2011) |

Pellis - I rememeber that thread and I have a post-it note in my office with all of the part numbers/Kawi models that cross reference. I will try to remember to post them up here next time I'm at work (working from home today). |

Matches for the Buell S3 mirrors: Suzuki: GSXR600 '92-'93 GSXR750 '91-'95 GSXR1100 '93-'94 P/Ns: Right - 56500-18D01 Left - 56600-18D01 I also noticed that my neighbor's mid-90s Kawasaki Ninja 500 has the same mirrors, so there must be some Kawi models that run them as well. |

If it is just the glass, you can go to a place that does glass work and they can cut and install new mirrored glass. Did this myself a couple of years ago when I had a little bump on the mirror when splitting lanes. It was pretty cheap, like $20 and took about an hour for both mirrors. |

Yeah they do look like the ones on my 94 GSXR 750. I bought some S3 mirrors by mistake when they were described as coming off of an X1 and they looked identical. |

Thanks for all the replies. Hope you find this useful. Here are the new Buell part numbers: Right = N2162.B Left = N2161.B Both are available and their cost is $45.00 each. Call around as I have found some dealers are charging over MSRP. Suzuki is extremely proud of their parts as well. The local dealer I called wanted $180.00 each for the mirrors. Right = 56500-18D01 Left = 56600-18D01 The parts guy informed me that aftermarket mirrors were available for $45.00 each. When asked I was told they were from Bikemaster. From the Bikemaster website, www.bikemaster.com I found these part numbers listed for the Suzuki GSXR1100: Right = 60-0204 Left = 60-0205 Using their dealer locator I called the local Triumph dealer and was quoted a price of $22.00 each. It pays to shop around. I went to the glass shop near my work and they wanted $25.00 to cut glass for just one mirror. |
