http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/650442.html?1316204522 An update, things are looking up. He goes down on at 70 mph, no helmet on interstate. No broken bones except nose. Lots of head trauma, unconscious for almost 2 weeks. A couple days ago he opens his eyes, not they have him up and trying to put weight on his legs. Still sleeps most of day, but prognosis is for fully recovery or close to it. Very lucky man, God doesn't give too many second chances like this. Had he been wearing a helmet he would be at home sitting in front of his TV right now. Wear the hardhat guys... (Message edited by missin44 on September 16, 2011) |

Good to hear. My little bro finally worked a 1/2 shift last night- 4 weeks after his get off. He should make a full recovery as well. |

Glad to hear the good news. He'll be pinching a nurse or two in no time. He's a lucky guy and it just wasn't his time... though the Big Guy is always open to using 'events' like these to bring clarity to our lives. Have him get back on that horse that tossed him as soon as he's up to it. Wear the PPE at all times. I tossed my jacket and helmet after my 50'ish mph off-ramp 'event'. |

I'm from Oz, grew up with helmets, so I can't really imagine riding without one. Just glad to hear he's in good shape.... |
