I was starting to feel a little detached from the S3T I bought just about 2 years ago, and giving serious consideration to buying a Uly instead. I still want a Uly, but I'm not giving up on the S3 - I'm selling my 1125CR and using most of the cash for a new roof, but the rest will be used to freshen up the S3T. There's a bunch of little things it needs (tires, brake caliper rebuild, etc) and a few major things... would like to get a good Penske or Works shock on there and get the forks rebuilt with some better springs... I think I'm going to take a crack at making a custom seat for it, something a little more comfortable. Then... next year... I'm thinking Montana-bound. |

While you're messing the the fork put in a set of Race Tech Gold valves. They make a huge difference. My tuber never gets boring. It's at the point now that I'd have to spend a lot of time at the track to find its limits. She's a major source of fun every day. I've ridden much faster, more modern, and much more refined machines but the old S1 has a firm hold on me. |

I hear you brother! I too have ridden newer more modern bikes but my X1 always puts a smile on my face! |

Same here, my S2 is the best bike I have ever had. All the others are top heavy and unwieldy...and I have had many. Mine still has the orig. white coil WP shock, no problems ever. As a matter of fact it has had no recalls done... makes me wonder... And MT sounds great this time of year! |
