Have just replaced gear selector shaft(involving dropping motor and removal of timing cover) after a fall only to find on start up new oil becomes dark within minutes(changed oil twice)Also engine is noisy. I suspect fuel in the oil, smells a bit that way.On initial start up A LOT of what appeared to be steam/condensation came out the exhaust for about 3mins.... Any clues??? Thank you in advance Regards Gary} |

Sounds more like engine coolant in oil, which is bad trouble, could be as simple as head gasket or as bad as a cracked head. Either way it's fixable, but don't run it any more until you find the cause. |

Either fuel or coolant, you will have higher oil line on dip stick if you have a leak. Condensation is normal occurrence with an engine that hasen't been started in awhile. |
