Looking maybe at a loop around Mount St. Helens on Sunday - - interested? Oh you suck! That has to be a beautiful ride. Post up some pictures for us Easterners! Great weather - - not so great photos. . . 430 miles, and no issues with the newly replaced ECM (Warranty). Also, first test run with the header and muffler coated with Jet Hot ceramic coating. A noticeable difference in lower overall engine temperature (though we haven't needed it as much as the rest of the country - - hot today, at 74 degrees. . .).

Mt. Adams behind (hard to see with cloud haze)

Awesome. I gotta get that trip in sometime. I was out into the Smoky Mountains Saturday. They lived up to their name with their characteristic blue haze. Beautiful but, makes for not being able to get long range mountain pictures. |

Haven't had the Uly east, but have ridden the BRP on my FXR, love everything about it . . . except the speed limit. There are some great roads out here, from mountain twisties to long sweepers east of the Cascades with your vanishing point literally miles away - - a great mix. Great weather - - not so great photos... Sorry, that's about it for the photos. Maybe "loop" was a poor choice of words - we stayed east of the mountain, and most of the great photo ops for St. Helens are on the west side, but thats also where most of the slow moving cars, camper trailers, RVs etc., congregate. We were on the paved (mostly) Forest Service roads with little traffic, even for a weekend. |

I was just up there last week for the Sportbike Northwest or Rally in the Gorge. There were five or six other Buells there this year. 1,100 miles of riding fun in 5 days. You should check out the Rally for next year. It is put on by Sound Rider. |

Fastmag, I was there on a red XT riding with Scott on a blue XT. First time at this rally for me, they did a great job and the routes were awesome. Our bikes ran great too, didn't seem to mind the heat. |

Will definitely put the Rally at the Gorge on the calendar for next year - - but the Uly was in the shop (ECM replaced by Warranty) during the event this year... I just missed a WABDR (Washington Backcountry Discovery Route) opportunity, any Northwesters interested in a 4-5 day south to north adventure ? ? ? |

Bcmike, I was on the Faster Black Uly. I loaned some tools to Scott to mount his bags on his wifes bike. That is my second time at that Rally. Great riding up there. |
