So maybe you have seen that I run into sh!t with my bike left and right. So instead of starting a new threat each time, Im just going to keep it nice and neat on this one. |

Engine Oil problem resolved, clean as a whistle. Primary Oil, Was dirty as 3rd st. , no metal on mag bolt. New fluid in. Mobil1 20-50 Rear Shock looks to be of the recall variety, so im getting the ball rolling with SSF dealership to see if i can get it swapped out. fingers crossed. Exhaust hanger bracket broke off the vance pipe. how long ago? , but there was soot on the hanger meaning exhaust leak. Going to see if I cant get it welded back on tomorrow. Stay tuned folks, im pretty sure there is more to come. HA! |

There is a muffler place nearby, A1A. They did a quick job on my jeep while they were forking on their own sprint car. Ill see if they can weld it back for me. maybe do a brace for it as well. Ill post pics when its good and ready. |

Im goign to clean the whole underside with a good degreaser, because I need to find where the oil leak is coming from. There is a lot of buildup and I cant tell where the oil is from. |

OK so i go to Johnny Franlins mufflers, and the guy wanted 85 bucks to weld the hanger to the pipe. I said, "really? its gonna take you an hour to weld that on?" and left. Im no welder, but dont charge me an hours worth to weld on a freakin hanger. So I went to A1A and got it done for $20 bucks. Love small mom and pop shops.

is this bad? There isnt anything coming from the shifter seal. The primary cover gasket is oily, but there is oil on top of the crancase and I think its coming down from where the cylinders meet as you can see in the pic. the rear cylinder looks like that all the way around. |

yeah, i have a strong feeling its wd-40 with a different label, smells the same, and feels the same, which makes sense. its a grease solvent. Not foamy like the gunk stuff. Very liquidy. but the oil and dirt comes right off. |

So Im starting to look for shocks. Will any 16.5" s1/s2/s3/m2/etc shock that doesnt leak work? Other than leak, does the one I have look like a recall? HD said they no longer cover recalls. Should I really shell the money out for an aftermarket shock? |
