Anyone know how much the tickets are? Anything else I need to know? I was going to do the torque fest redux in AZ but I can't take the 19th off so the next best thing is Laguna. Now I have to request this Friday and maybe next Monday off though... Jerry - Are you leaving Monterey on Sunday or Monday? |

M1, all the ticket info, etc. can be had at www.laguna-seca.com. me 'n D are leaving for Monterey 0430 Friday, and departing Monterey about 0900 Monday. i figure it's about 325 miles from Lake Isabella to Monterey via 178, 58 and 1. add that to the distance from you to me to give you an idea of what you're contemplating. let us know how we can help. ps: one of the hardest things about doing Laguna can be lodging. if you want a room you're probably screwed at this point (unless you want to stay in Salinas, and even then it'll be VERY iffy at this late date). if you're up to camping, however, you can stay right at the track. look here for info from EBear in this regard, including a track map. they're all bunkering in and around the "Love Shack", overlooking the exit to the Corkscrew and Rainey Corner. their campsite #'s are 563, 564, and 565. I'd rather camp at the love shack. That way I can run the cork screw in the middle of the night . I'll probably just sleep on the ground w/o a tent though. I like the stars . |

Do you like being soaked? Every night, the marine layer comes in and everything under the stars gets cold and wet. Vik |

M1, Bring your sleeping bag. That's all you need. You can crash under the Love Shack. Plenty of cover there. If you're gonna do this though, check out the thread above on getting proper ID for Love Shack camping... and have fun! Sparky |

I'm sure they would... The problem is that I need to pay the taxes on the bike by the third of August ($850). I can so I will . I'll even have a little left over but just enough. I'm all good. I'll be there next year. I just got done paying $400 a month for an old Mustang so it's just bad timing really. I finally own the Mach though . My GF kind of wants to go hiking anyway . |
