I recently installed a "Superbrace" fork brace. First impressions: The fork protectors that I ordered get hit by the lower triple tree securing nut, so I had to install the RHS on the LHS & vice versa to prevent this happening (It gives the Blast a slightly cross-eyed look from the front). The effect of the brace is most noticeable in fast corners & under fairly hard braking. It seems to assist in staying on-line through corners & makes the bike feel less like it wants to "swap ends" when both brakes are applied firmly. Finally, it seems to cancel out the Dunlop tires predilection from following every groove in the pavement. I ride about 10 miles a day on grooved concrete roadways & the Blast feels much more secure & less likely to "wander" now the brace is on. It was fairly pricey but I feel it adds to the ease of riding & makes me feel a little more secure whilst in motion. Chris C |

What I spent on the brace I saved on the tires (LOL) Why does it have Dunlop's on it? It's a long story but, suffice to say, they ended up being free! All I have to do now is commute 3000 miles & my Blast will never wear Dunlop's again! Chris C |

We put some Pirelli's on my wife's Blast a few months back. She hasn't ridden much since but even she noticed the difference instantly. |

Weird that the brace helps the "tramlining" of the Dunlops. Usually stiffening up the front end makes the grooves more noticeable (or more "road feel"). Cool though. At least something makes the Dunlops better. You can pass that on to those who've unknowingly just bought a new set of them! |

I think the firmer feel is making me think that the tramlining effect is less noticeable. I am on vacation this week but I will be back to putting more miles on the bike when I return. My initial impression may well change the more miles I do. |
