This worked nice in my Keda- http://www.jegs.com/i/Car-Chemistry/176/3DI25R/100 02/-1 Takes the edge off the sound a bit, still loud but not LOUD!, and gives a nice mellow tone to the rider. Still need earplugs though, and it must take a bit of HP but not so you'd miss it on the street. Good thing about this particular arrangement is the easy install. There's two main components, the perforated tube and the three disc. The disc are a bit smaller od as the header, so taking a bit off the diameter on a belt sander allows them to slip into the header. I did this with two of them, the third butts up against the perforated lining in the muffler and the header sandwiches the baffle in place. No welding, screws, etc. Easy to remove for track days. I did have to take about 15mm off the end of the header to keep overall length the same. It's a bit more money than you may expect, but what isn't. Anyway it worked for me. |
