I just started NOT wearing my Olympia armored-mesh pants. The reason?...
I have these now for daytime-summer riding protection under my pants or jeans:

And I found out the hard way today...(minor car hit) that they WORK GREAT!! In fact, I have been wearing them all day in the house too. Very comfortable and great protection.

I use the very same armor under a pair of draggin jeans. Cooler weather for the icons works best as the vent holes don't do much ,a little baby powder on the legs keeps me comfy. I got my armor like 2-3 years ago after going over the bars on eastern pkwy in Brooklyn New York, it did a number on my knees. Since then my buddies give me guff about the gear. About a year after my first accident I went down on kings highway there was anti freeze in the road I low sided the bike. I was wearing my trusty icon field armor with textile overpants it had armor but I still wore the icons. Long story short totaled the bike when it hit the curb flipped off bike went over meridian bike stopped in service lane me half under a car Honda crv to be exact gold color. A lady heard or saw what happened and says "you alright?" I look at her and say yes ma'am after toe wiggle knee bend leg lift neck bend look at hands roll up check for traffic look for bike. I don't leave home without armor.

I have these as well as the Icon Field Armor (arms). I wear these under my jeans and the arm armor under my leather jacket. Good fit, good price, and reasonably comfortable. Gives me peace of mind that if I do go down things aren't going to be as bad as they could have been. : )

These sound great. I will need to look into them. I was going to wear carhart pants with the double fabric, but want some knee armor just in case.

I like them, but if you wear them all day but if you sweat alot they can start to smell. I've throwm them in the wash with no problems. I can't zafford the Draggin jeans,...I have been using Dickie's HD Carpenter jeans, more protection than regular jeans but not the best. (17.00 at walmart, Green, Tan, Black and Blue)
