My wife is 5'2, too small for Superhawk, XBR or SV, but fits well on an XB9S Low. I was thinking I would like to buy a 9R, but put the suspension bits from a 9S Low on it and then some Sharkskins full street bodywork (she has to have a a race rep looking bike, the whole naked thing doesn't do it for her when it comes to bikes). Then she'll have a totally unique bike that looks sharp and fits her. An older SV with the padding taken out of the seat and sharkskins would be similiar, but not nearly as cuell. |

Rumor has it that the 9S is gone but the 9R will still be here for 05. Buell should still build a low model so I'd wait a few weeks and see what they do. To the best I know all the suspension bits are interchangeable but someone else will have to give you the definitive answer. |

To the best of my knowledge the parts are interchanable, forks, rear shock . But the seat is the only thing you loose out on, the seat height is not that different between the R and the S. like .4inch so most of it is just the suspension. |

Jonathan, seems like Laura(XB9R) 5'4" and Bev(XB9S) 5'3" both have Works performance shocks on their bikes. Both bikes are smaller than a XB9SL. http://pabattletrax.home.att.net/ |
