I know for a fact I have a warped front rotor that i'm going to replace as soon as it gets here. I also think there is something up with the steering head bearings If I brake hard I feel the chatter then when I get to a near stop I can feel the rotor. Has anyone on here adjusted there steering head bearings? I heard some people tell me all that needs to be done is loosen them and then re-tighten them to spec. Is this correct or is there more to it then that? |

I made this a while back: http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/ 489713.html This is for the GPR as well as re-torquing head bearings. Just ignore the GPR part. Hope it works out. There's also a large number of folks, myself included, that have retorqued the head bearings to fix one noise and also realized another noise comes from the internal fork bushings as well... hope that helps. Are you *sure* your rotor is warped? Have you put it on a flat plate or used a DTI on it? |

I have not put it on a flat plate, but if you run your finger around it you can feel where it bows out. Its pretty bad. |
