my enrichener cable set nut broke on my mikuni hsr and its zip tied on and it takes 2 hands to use it... the plastic nut that tightens down on the bracket snapped off and its not really repairable. i need a cable or info where to find one that fits. i found 3 now that dont work.. one was wrong end, the other 2 were wrong size (too long ) any help would be appreciated. |

I'd like to say I've never broke one of those, but I'd be a liar. The harley one might not be the right length, but usually it's the one that fits. Take yours in and match them up. Wear a black t-shirt and scowl a lot and they will think you ride a Harley and will help you out. The brass end needs to be swapped to the new cable. I'll bet HFD has sold a quillion of these - 'cause they break so freakin easy. Dude - like... it's PLASTIC! Let's tool up an make some that don't break, and sell them for less! |

AFAIK, Mik's and CV's use the same choke cable, yes. NEVER use a wrench when tightening that nut. EVER. Put the base against the outside of the bracket. Star washer against the inside, between the nut and the bracket. HAND-TIGHTEN the nut against the star washer. That will hold it in place. The little knurled piece on the outside, under the pull-knob itself? THAT is what you use to set tension on the cable, so when you pull the knob out it stays out. ALSO no-tools. DAMHIK. |
