Change of plans - Price reduced to $7,200. Found the bike I think will do all that I need both off and on the road. This has been a great bike and tons of fun, but it's time to move on. Will be riding it until it sells. Will consider a WR250R in partial trade as that's the direction I have decided to go. |

Change of plans again - price increase back to $7,600. This is too nice of a machine to be selling that cheap.

No longer for sale. Had you been along this weekend, you'd understand. This is one incredible machine.

+1, couldn't bring myself to do it either- especially after a little dirty riding this afternoon after work. now I need to figure out how to come up with some extra $$$ for an XB9 primary. |

That's by far the best mod I've made to the Uly |

Itileman, Is the XB9 a 'neutral' or small 'negative' for road use? I have no doubt it is a big plus for off-road riding after reading so many good things but what does it do for highway use? Thanks. |

It will cut your top end from about 132 mph down to about 120. But, seriously, it adds about 400 rpms if you're doing 80 in 5th gear. At 80 on the speedo, I'm about 4,300 rpms. 90 is just under 5k. Little or no effect on fuel mileage. The bike seems to like to cruise at 4k. |

I'd say it's a HUGE plus for road use. I don't need to ride any faster than 125 anyway! Now it pulls hard right up to that speed. Much more fun everywhere I go, and is always "in the right gear". I agree, that's my favorite mod. |

For sale again. I've been out riding around on a 250cc dirt/street bike and have the bug badly for the WR250R I've been lusting after. Plus, at 66 years old, 500# is getting to be a bit much to wrestle with in the dirt. $7,600.00 for everything. Not selling parts/pieces unless they're left over from a sale. Act now, cuz I have a documented tendency to change my mind often. |

Just get the WR. You need em both. Check Seattle Craigslist for used. You know you need em both. That is what I am doing. I am 61 though...lot younger than you! Will be over to GF shooting gophers and pd's in a couple weeks. |

61? You're just a kid yet. I'm 66. And, yes, I'm going to just get one. Working on plan B - buy old dirt/street motorcycle, fix it up, sell it, buy another. Just sold the 1976 Honda XL250 I got a few weeks ago. Puts me about 20% of the way there. I'll be in Whitefish in a couple of weeks, but with the Honda (buyer gets it later in June). Shoot me a note when you're there. If I'm back in Billings, I may ride the Uly up. |
