So in my pursuit to create a cafe racer/street fighter, I have been looking at exhaust. Will this work on a xb12r? I think it will look sick with the other ideas I have for the bike. http://www.danddexhaust.com/catalog/2010/01/2004-2 010-sport.htm |

You aren't going to be able to mount it - and I THINK the exhaust port geometries don't match the XB (others will correct me) You'd have a lot of fabrication even IF you can get the exhaust ports to mate. Maybe Send D&D a note? |

Also, D&D just haven't done really well on power and their 1125 pipe LOST about 6 HP (and also dragged the ground in the turns) |

It'll bolt to the engine just fine but may not clear the frame. Check over on the xlforum.net I know some guys over there have that pipe maybe they can get you some dimensions as far as distance from the engine. As mentioned above there's gonna be some fab work no matter what. Also that pipe has been producing pretty good HP numbers if memory serves me correct. |

Also rememebr that tehBuell motor moves around a lot more than teh XL motor does (even rubber mounted versions!), so you would have to make up some kind of flexible mounting to enable the whole exhaust system to move with the motor. You would also find that the footrests and even the frame may be in the way of the exhaust route. |
