On what material? Overall to wash? I use 50/50 simple green and water. Soak, sit for 1 or 2 minutes, rinse, dry. Aluminum, Mothers. Paint, Meguiars Gold Class. Plastic swirls, the Novus family (varying degrees of 'cut'). |

Novus polish has three or four different grades, kinda like sandpaper - coarse, medium, medium fine, and fine. Big scratches, start with coarse then work your way to the fine; goes from sandpaper look to polished enough to shave in the reflection. On the simple green, I forgot to mention - NEVER spray it on a hot bike. Make sure its cool. If its hot, you'll get streaking. Nasty. For the Mothers...use the cleaner to clean, and the polish to...well...polish. |
