My X1 handled pretty much perfect for me out of the box with only minor tweeking needed since day#1. Every time I ever had the fork rebuilt, I had the dealer do it and they returned them to me pretty much "right". I recently had them rebuilt by a friend in town and my settings were randomized. I'm having a hard time getting good results. I'm pretty sure he did a good job and didn't mess up the rebuild. |

Hold the front brake and bounce the front and compress the forks as far as you can....If you feel a popping or a dull clunk then he did it wrong. I don't have my service manual here at work sorry. |
