Ha, you're back in my old area...sorta. Just moved from South Bend back in January. Good lookin' bike! Looks like a stock rear wheel, did you have it widened? If so, where? There's a couple other Bueller's in the area that I know as well. |

Yes, its a widened stock wheel. I sent it out to the west coast. They did a really nice job. |

I like the look, especially the Black/white paint. Nice contrast ! |

I had a company called Kosman widen the wheel and I did the rest. They do nice quality work. Completely stock swing except I shaved the bracket that held all the plastic crap, then polished it. (Message edited by jdalemary on May 11, 2011) |

Here is a close up of the paint with the red pin stripe.
And here is the stock rear wheel (180) just to see the difference

That looks awesome. Let me get this right all you need is the chain conversion and a wider rim? Hmm I'll have to think about that. |

I had to do about three months of thinking to get the rim widened just right. x amount right side added and x amount left side added. Then I made spacers and special sprockets and researched every chain out there to get one strong enough and narrow enough to fit. It was a headache but the final product is worth it to me. Im working on another chain tensioner design right now |

kosman like the chassis people who build dragbikes etc? I posted this in the 'cool buell pics' section - while its not my style (the wider rear wheel), I love the fact that you did it, that you wanted something and made/had it made. Good to see people doing stuff like that. I really like that paint job Its a great looking bike |

chain tensioner - so that you can clear the swingarm or what? Reason I ask is because I have a 99 S3, came with the alum arm, when we put the chain on it we had to grind down some of the bottom of the arm at the front of it (arm) so that the chain had room |

Yes, I believe they do the drag bikes. Kosman.net. Chain tensioner is to help keep the chain tight on deceleration so it wont rub the top of the swingarm. I was thinking a chain rub block but those will wear out to fast. So im trying a few other things. When I ride this around town everyone compliments on it. They usually have no idea what it is. |

Could you say a few words about the difference in handling and steering after the makeover; straight line, corners, etc? Thanks. |

Despite everything you read it handles really good. I dont notice a difference. Corners great and can throw it down easily. Straight is the same. |

like the wide tire, would you be willing to share details like rim width, offset, spacer width and what chain and sprockets you used? I would very much appreciate any info you could pass along, thanks, Tom |
