2nd Round of CCS races in the MW this past weekend. I mounted the cam a bit different for one of the races. Turned out pretty well, I think. 3rd place finish. | ||

Where did everyone else go? Looked like there were several more at the start, then just the 2 guys that passed you. After that, unless I missed it, there wasn't anything until the very end. I did a similar mount on the opposite side of mine. I guess you used the passenger peg bracket mounting holes? | ||

Dean - Looks like everyone else was even slower than me.  The last guy that got by was in a different class. Near the end you can also see me pass a Honda 1000RR.....what you can't see is that I almost ate him coming into turn 1, but then he was able to twist the throttle to squirt away until the next corner. I held off on passing him right away because he abruptly changed his line through 2. Yep, used the lower passenger peg mount area, used a double sided tape mount right to it as it's nice and flat. Worked quite well, I think. | ||

How close to new was the rear tire it looks somewhat shredded? What brand? | ||

That tire had a GTO race, 5 sprints, and a practice day on it. I was sorting out some suspension/tire pressure issues with being at a different track and the changing conditions. It wasn't hooking up well the day before and I was chewing it up pretty badly. It cleaned up some by the end of the race, and got a bit better later on, but it's pretty close to being used up. It's a Continental Race Attack DOT. Medium compound. I've been running a Soft front, and it's wear is amazing. I had that on when we ran Team Challenge also and it's still good to go. | ||

I was digging that video. Your line was good and you got smoother as the race progressed. Looked like you were running a 1:22 pace? | ||

Yeah, it was the first race of the weekend, and 1:22's was about all I was good for. Way off my personal best of 18.... Need to get some more seat time and really get in the push it mode. | ||
