If nobody has one used, you should be able to get them new still. |

Thanks for the replies . I will have to check on the price of a new one . Mine looks near perfect after installed. The reflector ,bulb socket piece and lens "posts" have all been crudely cut or have parts broken off . All original fasteners are gone as is the gasket. It's cobbled on there pretty fair so I can be patient for a nice unit and/or the right deal. I was kinda hoping someone going to the Homecoming might have one so I had a good excuse to ditch work and ride over there |

If it looks good when installed, you can do what I did. I took out the factory screws and drilled the backside of the housing, where the screw 'tubes' are. I drilled the fiberglass tail section behind the taillight, too. I went to Home Depot and got two looong skinny bolts, that would fit through the holes in the lens. I ran them all the way through the light housing and the bodywork, and secured them with nylock nuts. Now, it'll be a pain in the ass to take off...but since I put the LED board from a Ulysses taillight in there, I'll never have to replace a light bulb again either (all this was on my S2; same light though) But...go to Homecoming anyway. I can't make it. Go for me |
