BRAG meeting tomorrow nite in Portland. If you haven't bought your raffle tickets on the quilt, we'll be glad to accept your money tomorrow nite. Andy at Destination will be there again, and he is trying to recruit some new Buellers too. He's gonna bring a list of new owners with him that we can call and encourage. He has sold all the Buells at Destination now except for 2 XB9's and one used Blast (mine). He might be up for Buell salesman of the month club or some such thing. Come on down to the Sports Page and we'll watch Detroit kick LA butt on the big screen and talk about SPLASH. Our June ride is scheduled for next Sunday which is Father's day. I'm clear to ride. Hope everybody else is out of the doghouse enuf to go too. Oh yeah, I want some riders available to ride with our Aussie buddy Madgaz aka Black X1 too. He is in town June 23 thru July 15 or so, and won't make our next meeting or SPLASH, but we ought to give him a good run around our favorite roads. I have been thinking of a 1 or 2 day route already. May have to call in sick (cough, cough) to work a couple days. Kim, how's about a ticket sales report, sweetie? | ||

Havn't posted in a bit. My 98 S3/T has been giving me new annoyance and need some advice. It just started breaking up in the midrange. The bike has always been a bit soft in the midrange up to 5K rpm. Plugs have been whiteish. Always ran strong with no hiccup. Haven't done anything different that I can think of: Set up: RacePro K&N filter, 200 main, 45 pilot, SuperTrapp (13 disks w/end cap). What I did to cure: 4 shims under needle and slightly raised float setting. Bought new plugs, but have yet to install them (old ones less than 9K miles). Sprayed carb cleaner at all the manifold intake joints, carb join and body with no effect on idle. WTF can I try now? Stephen in Seattle | ||

Check plug wires where they go into coil,they can corrode and cause miss.New plugs??Gap?,cleaned air filter?When was the last time you changed plug wires?You really need to get bike dyno tuned to determine fuel ratio where you are weak. | ||

The good news is Betty is broke like a pony, running BETTER than ever and staying off the ground! Since I'm sick of my whiney bullshit, I won't even touch on the 'other'! Galen, I missed the meeting. Absessed tooth. Lottsa pain. Got painkiller and antibiotics from the dentist yesterday but had to go back today after a sleepless nite, all swoll up, fever, yada, yada. This time Dentist sliced open the gums to drain the pus, then Dremmeled the gold crowns open on 2 back molars and drilled down to the root to drain them too. Talk about STINK? talk about BONE-DEEP-PAIN? Whoooeee! CAn you say: Double root canal? So Loni, Chis, Roc, what was decided at the meeting about a Fathers Day ride? Ok, I think the meds are kicking in. Or maybe it's the Vodka I washed them down with. Who cares? | ||

Achtung Baby! Well I finally squeezed some money outta the insurance company to compensate for losing my Hypo-Blast. So now I'm breaking in a new ride! Here's some info about it; It's a single cylinder... Belt drive... Oh groan you say! Another Blast?! Nope!  Let me introduce you to my new 2004 BMW F650CS. What a great bike! Single-sided swing arm, 4 valves, 2 sparkplugs and more. Almost finished racking up the 1,000 km before the first service. I NEED this bike broken in before SPLASH. Can't wait to show it off to everyone! Glad to be back on board! Ride on, LO | ||

Shotgun, We have decided to not cancel the ride this Sunday and do the ride on the 27th also. Not enough of the regulars where there to feel comfortable canceling on such short notice. Also we need to dig into the Brag info to see if I can be the Asst. Director. Andy seems to think it is OK. since I am a HOG member. Kim have a great trip, and see you when you return. Loni | ||

Galen, I think that Cody races on Sat but they are going to be out on Sun also. Our ride usually start at Destination HD in Tigard (don't know the address will try to post it tonight) at 10 am. Don't know who will be there. Shotgun will you be ready to ride by then, can you go? I want to ride but don't know what Chris will want to do. Loni | ||

Hell Yes I'm ready to ride! I even got the Speed3 back together today and even got her licensed! Now she needs a good breakin ride. Galen, cmon down for the Sunday ride. lunch is on me for anybody who is from more than 50 miles from Tigard. We need to see Betty. We need to hear Betty. We need to feel and touch her and drool on her. Are you jealous yet? Loni, tell Chris he needs to ride with us Sunday. It is gonna be a beautiful day. Live for the moment. Life is wayyyyyyyyy too short. I came within inches of getting t-boned this afternoon. The pickup didn't even see me. I was in a hard left turn doing about 60 and he crossed over in front. I yelled "oh ••••" as I hit the brakes and stood her up and just missed the SOB by inches. Whew. They ougta be a law or sumtim. Or a way to carry rocket propelled grenades on ur bike. |
