Well, turkey season is now officially over. No turkey for Dave again this year. Almost glad it's over. Now on to DEER SEASON! |

the Turkey are thick at my Dad's place but I've never hunted them... They would all vanish as soon as I decide to put them in the crosshairs... |

That's how it works for me with turkey. 7 years hunting them and I have yet to kill one. I suck! Oh, well, some day I will find the one lone turkey that is dumb enough to let me fool him. 3D season is kicking off, I have a new bow to set up to shoot the summer with. Carp shooting will be in full swing by next week. |

I just got back from a charity fishing tournament that the Outback Steakhouse construction department puts on every year. One of the ways they raise money for the Tampa Bay Watch is to auction off some items, trips and the like. One of the things they had this year was a gator hunt.... unfortunately for me the bids went beyond my wallet with a quickness. I can't tell you how much I wanted to give that a try with my bow! |

turkey that is dumb enough I stood in the woods and watched one for the longest time, trying to go through a field fence. He would run and crash into it. Get up and stagger back and fly into it. Get up stagger back and run into it again. He could have walked just a few feet where it was just barbed wire, or just flown over it. It was hilarious. He finally gave up and walked the other direction and disappeared. I never found any dumb ones when I was hunting though. |

Gator would be a trip with a bow! I'd love to do it. |

Only about 3 months to go! I am stoked for this season! My goal for the season is to get my new girlfriend her first deer. Be nice if I could shoot a few too! |

Who cares! Hahahahahahahah! Tonight I'm going out to plant a small food plot on her Dad's land for her and to hang at least one tree stand for her. Going to put a camera out so we can take inventory of the deer that are using her Dad's hay field. |

Well, the food plot is planted. Got a couple pics of a couple fawns on the camera. We'll leave it alone now for awhile and see what's out there 52 days to go! |

One week left in VA. I could shoot from my porch but the neighbors like the small 8 pt. and his harem, so off to public land I go... |
