Finished my custom rewind stator and compufire R/R install last night seems solid with 14.5 volts at idle with a quick start and warm up this am. However, I didnt ride yet because my ham fisted forcing of things cross threaded the lower oil hose and messed up the nice aluminum threads in the cooler. Im thinking I can save it with a tap anyone know the thread size and pitch? Im headed to NAPA later today and they'll probably just match it |

i dont know of the thread size/pitch but if it is possible i would just take the hose completely off the bike and try to match up the threads to a tap that way. |

Doesn't help this time...but... For the next time..just pop the snap ring out and pull the alum tube out of the fitting. Easier, quicker, safer Mike |
