I used blue thread locker to hold the antifreeze over flow bottle and the outer radiator cover on.Now the screws just spin the brass nuts that are in bedded in the plastic inner radiator cover. Any ideas on how to get the screws out would be greatly appreciated. thanks |

why not just pull them out together and epoxy the brass nuts back in. |

Better than epoxy, get the insert and screw out like Danny said - they should both come out of the side the insert was in. A Torx bit and some pliers will get the two apart. Re-install the insert on the tip of a soldering iron. Shoot for a tip temp of around 600 if you can. Let it heat for a few seconds and slide it into the plastic - make sure it's straight. Surlyn is a thermoplastic and works very easily... nice choice IMO, it sands and welds VERY easily. Z |
