Hey guys, I just found a cut on my select seat yesterday, right on the weave part. I wanted to ask if anyone knew of a good way to take care of that without the use of duct tape. Preferably something discrete, I really don't want to replace the seat and don't mind a small black spot of epoxy if anyone knows what the right kind is to buy. | ||

Check auto parts stores. They sell a rubber-like adhesive speciifically to repair small tears in vinyl. Epoxy is too rigid and it will start to tear around the outside of the epoxy patch. Also sold at Amazon - the one I've seen is made by Permatex: Permatex Vinyl Repair info | ||

I'm not real clear on the nature of your cut but if you take the seat off, flip it over you can see how the seat covering is attached to the pan. It should be possible to remove the seat covering, sew it up and re-install. | ||

I'm with Dan on this do the job right. I'd that it to a shop and see what they say, might be cheaper than you think to have it fixed right. I had a car seat fixed and it was less than $50.00 to do. Seam blew out and they restiched the whole thing. New cover was close to $300.00 on the counter at the dealer. |
