Just a tip to those of you running the Ohlins steering damper. Check that all the fasteners are tight periodically! I had a scary moment at Nelson Ledges last weekend. Felt the steering starting to shake more than normal during practice so I pulled into pit lane. As I was turning into the pits the steering locked up and down I went. Turned out the two fasterners on the clamp had backed out and the whole assembly came loose and jammed up. Just a couple of scrapes to the bike, but it could have been far worse if it had locked up at 120mph through the kink. Everything is locktited now and it will be something I check before every session. |

I don't believe in the concept of "luck" very much. But once in awhile.... |

Luck is good...... Locktite is better.
