Author Message   Froader4life Posted on Monday, April 25, 2011 - 11:04 am:        It has happened the last two time I rode my bike. I ride for 10-15 minutes, turn off my bike and get off, and then about every 10 seconds I hear the same sound I hear when I turn the key on which I believe is the fuel pump priming,right? It will keep doing it unless I start my bike for a second and shut it off. The fuel pump stays on to circulate the fuel and cool it off. The amount of time it is on will vary but this is Normal. It should not run down your battery, though i suggest that you ride the bike for more than 10 min or leave the bike on a battery tender... BTW did you even TRY to search this forum for your questions, there's only a few hundred pages regarding this..   Froader4life Posted on Monday, April 25, 2011 - 12:16 pm:        I guess that makes sense in a way. But I have had the bike for almost a year now and have never had this happen, even going through AZ at 100 plus degrees. But this morning at the blistering temp of 55 degrees, it happened again. I also thought it was weird that it stops after I start it for a second and shut it back off. I will look at the manual. The logic is to reduce the chance of vapor lock in the fuel supply line during a hot start condition. I have read through the forum and we are not anomalies. I had questions early on when I bought my bike back 09 on it.
