just wondering. I bought the Chinese/Pazzo "knock offs" to see if I would like the shortys (and I do) so now i'm ready for the real deal just wondering how the black ASV's hold up in the Sun.. Thanks Guys ! |

Yes. Faded pinkish grey. No matter though, they still function perfectly well. |

Girlfriend has the C5 longs with the matte black finish on her CR since march 2010. No fade. |

If you have faded ASV C5 levers and they are less than 5 years old give ASV a call and inquire. Robert has been great to deal with at ASV. I notice I receive two different finishes on the C5 levers. They come through in a matte black finish or a shinier black finish. I would think the shiny version would be a little more prone to fade if left outside all of the time, more so than the matte finish. I base this on my previous dealings with anodized fittings on braided lines. |

I got the F3 shortys on sale.. I'm sure the Cali sun will eat about anything but I'll do my best to keep her shaded at work..... |

If they do fade and ASV won't replace them just take the anodizing off with oven cleaner. |

I have the ASV Shorties in black for a year now no fading in Chicago. |
