Anyone know how to find out how long the clutch replacement kits are on back order for? Mine started weeping last night, and I'd like to get an idea of how long I might be down for. Plan on keeping riding it till the weep gets worse (and refilling the resevoir of course). Later! | ||

While you're waiting... Try and freshen the oil. Fully bleed with fresh oil. Mine started a bit of an accasional weap. Just because the fluid was a little brownish, (about due time wise anyway), I blead the clutch. Five full days and no moisture, no seaping, no drops on the floor....dry. Worth a try...! I normally freshen the clutch fluid four to one with the front and rear brakes. Mike | ||

Big - I waited 3 weeks in Ontario, they had to come from the states. Dealership (Barrie HD) dealt with me very well on the issue. They are upgrading to the '09 series I believe. Service manager is a Bueller so that helps. Parts are in now, on the road early next week. Thanks Mike for the tip - I will check with the dealership and ask if they will be changing the the reservoir fluid as a matter of course. I saw my brake fluid in he front master cylinder was a dark colour and I was a little concerned. I changed it late last fall anyhow. Glad to hear it is a normal circumstance. | ||

I fixed my machine myself with the new secondary actuator parts needed. I was surprised of how much gunk and dirt that was inside the system. Maybe a good clean will do. |
