Anyone have any experience with the SL 1 shift light/data loggers? http://www.mpsracing.com/products/MPS/ShiftLights. asp I like the data logger feature, but I'm not sure what I would do with the data once I had it. |

MPS has a history of good products etc. But like you said, for the data logger, what would you really do with it? Its 250 bucks For 50 less (just a quick search on Pingels site), you can get a Dyna unit. http://www.pingelonline.com/dyna_shift_minder.htm Super easy to set your shift point in the staging lanes etc Very reliable Great company. I actually am dealing with DynaTek right now with a 2step, and I was stunned when on the phone with them, their customer service goes way above and beyond. They have been amazing do deal with. And it keeps it in an American company (parts made here as well). Just my 2c I know you posted about the cost of the units, this gives you a cheaper alternative. And Im sure ebay/amazon etc will find you lower prices that what I posted above Good luck duder and hope to see you in 4 weeks at the Rock for the AHDRA race |

I run the Dyna Shift Minder System. It works well and was simple to hook up. I use the shift minder to shift my air shifter also (totally automatic now). |

Mike, when using it to run your air shifter, do you still have to run an engine kill? |

Yes. You will still want to kill the ignition while the bike is shifting. Using the shift minder allows you to set the shift point and the shift minder will activate a relay which in turn shift the solenoid for the air shifter. It just makes one less thing to have to pay attention to. For me I owned it already so it was just a matter of adding the relay. I set up a GSXR this way and he loves it. I have a R1 here I'm doing the same way. |
