04 xb12r -- cranks fine but very noticeable bobbling hard banging sound in engine as if a cylinder is clanking around -- not sure the problem -- started after I high rpm shifted a couple times --

there is a tiny tiny hole in the front of the exhaust (that I plan to Fix) could that cause it

Also can that hole be fixed with Weld Epoxy?

thanks

Maybe your primary chain adjuster gave up,or maybe you hammered the mains or the wrist pins out. Lacking any other information i would start with pulling the primary. Beware your redline, these long stroke engines have high piston speeds. I can't see any way a VERY SMALL hole could cause this. Also, consider the extreme heat involved when choosing the epoxy for your exhaust, maybe somebody with a wire feed could fill it for you. Good luck.

Using the service manual anyone should be able to check for excessive primary chain slop, when it comes to opening her up, basic knowledge is not enough. How would you know what you were looking at? By the way, were these downshifts?
