Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some new levers. There's a lot of really cheap billet aluminum ones out there, for anywhere between 25 and 40 a lever. They look pretty good, they are adjustable, they are shorties, etc. but I was wondering if anyone has these and if they are reliable and work well, etc. Much appreciated.

Mike

The levers themselves are pretty good quality, but the hardware they use to hold them together is cheap junk.

+1 on the hardware used to put them together. Glad I realized the brake lever was loose before it got away from me.

So I guess I should just get some better hardware from a hardware store or something and I should be fine? It doesn't have any special hardware?

I'm not sure what "hardware" is being refered to, my cheap levers are excellent, better than OEM, fit perfectly, look great and work well..

The hardware I'm referring to is the bolts and nuts that hold the levers together. They look and feel like very cheap metal or very good plastic, it's hard to say.

my brake lever was very loose as well, had to tighten every bolt.

Yes, you could just replace them with hardware store stuff and I intend to.

Mine seems fine - yeah it's alloy but it's just a nut & bolt, I could replace ift for a coulpe of bucks if needed..
