So I changed my oil at the end of last season, and my hmf exhaust just arrive so I installed tonight. I noticed this small drip of oil coming out of the weip hole. The bike has not been run since my oil change and I have not noticed any issue with my clutch before I put it away. I don't see any other oil other than this very small amount.

For those who had this happen is the the first sign the I have been hit with this problem? How long do I have? I expect if I have to put the kit in I have to drain all the oil from engine first? Is this kit still have a long wait?

Feel free to just tell me it nothing and normal when you fill the bike full of oil...

Yeah, that's the clutch weep, also, your clutch cover is rev a, when you get the clutch weep fixed ask the dealer to get you a rev b cover if its under warrenty. Also, its hydraulic fluid leaking out of the weep hole, it will eat the paint off the clutch cover if left on.
If you keep riding the weep will get worse until it gets really bad, then it will squirt. If you continue to ride it, check the clutch master cylinder and keep it topped off.

Everything he just said. Except I did keep riding, and never had any problem with the paint coming off. YMMV.

One bit of advice if you do want to ride: take it in to have them see it with their own eyes, then take the bike home and ride the shit out of it while you wait for the parts to come in. It will typically be at LEAST a week, maybe more.

No warranty : )
I will search the forum for answers but if anyone has details on the part I need please let me know. Easy to change? My bike gas under 3000 miles on it. 08 r
Seems like a defect to me, guess that's why they have the new kit.

Sucks...

Clutch fix kit is p/n X2086.1AM cost is $230
new puck, puck seal, piston, piston seals and sleeve

This is quote from Dcmortalcoil
"Yes I have for both 1125R & 1125CR. Rather than taking it for warranty, I did it my self to save time.
After inspecting all the parts, I think the kit X2086.1AM (<$220 on line) is unnecessary. The original piston, which has the teflon coating, appears to be better made than the replacement, which is just a naked aluminum. If you want to save some money, just buy the replacement teflon coated sleeve X0087.3AM + two new seals CF0007.1AMA (comes as a pair) + newly designed piston seals CR0001.3AM & CR0002.3A. These component should run about $100 (from on line source). Very easy to replace. Just PM me if you need specific instructions for the install.

First one took a bit longer, but the second bike took about an hour, including the bleeding. So $2K is outrageous." Dcmortalcoil

A tip for everyone is to reduce the level of fluid in the reservoir so you can see air in the sight-glass after bleeding the system. My 08 (1500 ks) leaky cover was done under warranty but was full to the brim when I checked it at home. I syringed out fluid because its possible that too much fluid is the reason for failure. Someone else has mentioned this in other threads. I'm up to nearly 8000ks with no sign of trouble yet (touch wood!!)

How much for the parts?

Anyway you can take some pictures during the fix. I am just starting to learn the bike.
