I've been watching eBay closely the last few days (I'm finally 99.9% ready to buy an M2) and I notice that several of the bikes advertised as M2's appear to be M2L's. I could live with a "low" model but the regular model fits me well enough so I'd rather have go for that. One dude with a bike for sale didn't even know his was a low model until I wrote and asked. I'm just wondering if there are any obvious signs to look for to tell whether the bike is a "low" model or not. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance, Hugh |

The low model can be identified from the fourth and fifth letters in the VIN: KS = M2 LS = M2L You can eyeball differences if they're side by side, but this is definitive.

Hugh... I bought an '02 M2L and didn't know it was an L until I went to change the title. It works great for me, and I'm 6'1". I did find a great deal on a regular M2 seat (Thanks Tom!) and found the extra foam to be nicer to sit on. Mark |

Thanks for the help. Based on the serial numbers, 3 out of the 4 Cyclones listed on eBay right now are low models, but none of the ads mention this. |
