I just discovered how to bring the original, like-new shine to my Diamond Blue wheels. It had suffered dry stains, dirt, grime, and exhaust soot that was really difficult to remove. Even after I washed the wheels thoroughly, it would dry up with dark and grey stains from being attached by everything outside including the UV rays of the sun. Well, the Maguire's Natural Shine and Protectant for interior parts, rubber, vinyl, tires, etc., put back the original like-new shine back on my wheels! Check it out!

Just apply using a clean towel on a clean, dry wheel. It can also be used on the rear fender, belt guards, side mirrors, basically anything that is flat finished. Do NOT apply to tires or seats! Anywhere you want a non-slippery surface should be a no-no.

Does it dry completely? Or does it dry slick? Just asking b/c I can't tell from the pictures ... I'd be afraid of the centrifugal forces letting a little bit get to the tire, but if it dries completely then never mind!

You said it has to be applied to a clean, dry wheel ... how'd you get it clean?! I haven't tried Wesley's Bleach White yet, but I'm going to ... can't seem to get that "dried out" look off the wheel. I'll pick up a bottle of this stuff, too.

Hi - thanks for the tip. The only thing I could get to work was an auto tire cleaner called Bleche White (Westley's). Only $3 at any auto parts store: http://tinyurl.com/4rp9rl3

I carry 3 such products at the shop -

Pig Spit, works well on body parts, inner fairings, not so well on motor parts.
S-100 Engine Brightener - this stuff is the shizniz for your engine!!!
H-D Engine Brightener - haven't tried it yet.

Pretty sure all 3 are a heavy silicone compound
I sprayed the S-100 on Loretta after getting a blue fog over the engine from cleaner applied when too hot....
That was 2 years ago and she still looks good.

Like Zac sorta says (silicone)...plain ol WD-40 does the same thing. Works well on all the above situations.
Just don't "hose" the wheels down...put some on a rag and wipe clean.

Even cleans road crap and bugs off the body work.

The compound is thick, like shaving cream and NOT liquid. It also dries slick. I've used it a few times and it doesn't slicken up the wheel.

YOu have to apply to a clean surface and not dirty. "Clean" means just free of dirt, rubber, brake dust, etc. If you run your finger on the wheel and nothing sticks to your finger, that's clean enough.

I do agree. Other stuff similar to this will work. I just had the Maguire's handy so I used it and been using it. I will try the Pigspit next time.

The s100 is a caustic agent I believe.

Be very careful on the frame and plastics, It will cut through anything, however it stained my firebolt on the swingarm and upper frame under the airbox when I didn't get it all off.

It does do wonders for the engine and wheels though
