Ahhhh....I thank You so much Sir for the info...Now i no...LOL.. Mine is about to get a brand new pair of New Old stockers... The box they came in states they were packaged at PM and sent to Buell Co. in 2002...They came complete even with valve stems...only thing missing is the fancy little DOT stickers.. I re: when i bought my 1995 s2, that the little DOT stickers were on a recall list and i had to take my bike into the dealer for installation... Back in 94/95, this was one of the hurdles Buell had to conquer to export the S2 into canada... i think another was the braided brake lines didnt meet Dot .... Anyhow, Thx Court...u da Man....Hankb |

The DOT thing I recall ... It may have been the MOT ... I don't recall. Buell was the first company to get a braided line to pass the whip test and be approved for use on a bike. |

I think I have that letter someplace. That was kind of a big deal at the time. Fortunately the recall for the fairing stay stole the spotlight. |

Yes, I RE the fairing stay install on my 95 as well...When did they add it to the frame?..late 95 or not till 96?..The big deal in Canada was the rear shock and swingarm recall...They actually loaded all the Manitoba bikes in a trailer and took em to Alberta to be refitted...Man was I uptight, but my bike came home all kewl and groovey...They picked the bike up and dropped it off at my house!!!! |

>>>The big deal in Canada was the rear shock and swingarm recall. THAT one . . . I was involved with. Fortunately we found that before any of the bikes had been sold. It was a concerted effort to find bikes that had made it to dealers, bikes in transit and bikes in storage. Still amazing to me how that happened and how it almost got by us . . . the keen eye of one of the Elves at East Troy. That one was scary. I can't recall the number but it was like 30 or 40 bikes. |
