Anyone figure out how to store one of these on a XB9S? I use a fanny pack now but find that to be a pain in the -----.

Yep, language is an interesting topic for discussion. Fanny packs here in the states are small bags worn with a waist strap. In Australia as I understand it, it is something entirely different.

regarding original topic; I carry a compact tire repair set behind the flyscreen of my xb12s. plenty of room in there. access requires the 1/8" allen stored in the stock tool pouch under the seat. if the tire is flat, you have plenty of time to get the allen wrench out. ( you aint goin anywhere till its fixed)

note, also a good storage spot for a spare headlamp bulb, suitably padded and wrapped.

We call Fanny packs "Bum Bags".

I took a look behind the flyscreen. What specific kit are you storing there please?

the kit consists of (2) packs of tire repair strings, (1) tube of tire repair cement, and one each reamer and string install tool. the tools are the models with the screwdriver-shaped handles, which i have customized with a hacksaw, so that they fit in a small vinyl bag. approx. dimensions 4"x 2.5"x 1.1" i carry repair tools, but do not pack inflation supplies on the XB. if i was going deep in the bush, i would bring my mini 12 volt compressor. for ROAD trips, i figure i can find air somewhere nearby, but finding a tire repair shop open at 3 AM on sunday morning is very unlikely.
