The tree looks super beefy and I'm sure its engineered to withstand a fall, but I'm wondering about real crash experience. I don't remember hearing about ANY broken triple trees.

I barrel rolled mine, not even a scratch to it, the pods and tail take most of the beating, along with the front fairing being ripped off.

i've seen a good number of threads on wrecks and haven't seen thta many with busted or bent trees. however a lot of the time they get replaced 'to be on the safe side' and yeah that fairing stay pretty much pops in half at the first moment of impact with something solid

My bro wrecked on a cr, went off the road at over 70mph, the bike barrel rolled 3 times and landed up side down in a rock filled dry riverbed.

The whole front end was fine. I had to change out the frame because the clubman bars bent into the frame and dented it.
These bike wreck very well.

I'm piecing a wrecked Cr backtogether (salvage bike), the forks were bent, although the triple looked fine, pulled it just to check and found the stem was bent and the lower bearing was cracked. Glad I didin't find it the hard way.

yes, the CR crashes great(ask me how i know) I was basically wondering about the 'R' tree since the bars are incorporated in the tree. Most other bikes have clip ons under the tree and when they wreck, the clip on breaks and they walk around the paddock or come to the TPM store and easily find a clip on replacement. If my tree breaks, I'm f'd basically...right?BUT...it sounds like they hold up well. I'm really trying to figure out what spare parts I should have at the track. I'm thinking I'll need a fairing stay at the least.

I spilled my R on the freeway. Bent the right handlebar and brake lever like a pretzel but the tree was fine.
