Does anybody have any experiance with the tank bag on an xb9s, How much can you fit in one, does it get in the way, scratch the airbox cover at all. Im going away for a long weekend soon and cant seem to find a set of bags i like for the bike so im thinking of going with the buell tail and tank bag. Also does anyone have any pics of one installed on the bike |

i have used my Buell branded tank bag for 5000 miles. very handy. it is all i need for a thousand mile weekend, not counting my Harley-Davidson (brand) rainsuit lashed to the back of the Corbin (brand) saddle. only slight issue so far is that it could fit a bit tighter. in 30 mph crosswinds it moves around just a tad. i may soon through bolt it to the airbox cover, then it wont move. buy one, you will like it. |

I have the tourmaster cortech sport saddle and tail bags. I haven't had a chance to take them anywhere yet, but they seem to fit my 9S pretty well and I heard from another post on the board that they did well. |

"Anyone ever tried a Joe Rocket tank bag?" I have one but it mounts via magnets. I got it as a Christmas present from a friend. I harvested six very powerful magnets from PC hard drives at work. At some point I'll be finding a way to attach them to the underside of the airbox cover. |

Stainlessmag, I have one that I use on my XB9S and like it after I made some modifications to the straps. And yes, it will most definitely scratch the plastic air box cover. I put "Saran Wrap" between the cover and the bag and no more scratches. See "From Cruiser to Sport Bike - An XB9S Rider's Log by Keith Thrash..." in the "Tale Section". Keith

I have the tourmaster cortech tailbag. Love it. It's expandable, has built in bungees with a foam non-slip cushion. Couldn't tell ya where I ordered it from, but it'll run ya about $50.
