I bent the lip on my front rim. I have/paid for the extra wheel protection program. The one that says if I hit a pothole and damage my rim I get a new one. Well the dealer is saying it's cosmetic. My question is... Is this bull$#!+ (Message edited by Guard_rail on December 22, 2010) |

Should be covered under road hazard with the extra wheel and tire package. (Message edited by j_copeland on December 22, 2010) |

You could try and find a bigger pothole. Just to make sure is not cosmetic. |

Bent lip is a safety issue! Simple as that! |

Just becuase its a safety issue doesnt make it a warranty issue. But yeah, if you have the tire and wheel coverage it should be covered as long as it was caused by a road hazard. So claim a pothole did it. |

And they wanted to charge me $110 to put on a new front tire and if they found anything wrong with the wheel while they're changing the tire (that I'm supplying) then they will reverse the charge.... So wait that means they never took my tire off. They literally just LOOK'd at it. But on the bright side. In 2 weeks (next year) when the owner gets back off vaca. He'll take it for a ride and see how it feels. Ummm in 3 days were gonna get hit with a major snow storm. So I don't see how he's gonna ride and who appointed him the great god of Buell rims |
