"Keeping cagers from being pissed off if always a good thing. " WTF is a cager and who cares? No knock against a fellow Badwebber so please know this isn't directed against you. I'm of the opinion that if someone doesn't like the exhaust, they need to stay in the fu*&^ing house or move. I was a Barker fan until I saw the RT-3. Seems to fit the bike better. I ran an XB12R with a straight pipe, none of these pipes for a 1125r are loud and I mean none. Sound good, yes, but not loud. You could say that nothing is loud against a straight pipe but my setup sounded very powerful without being overly loud. I did a bit of research on exhaust wave harmonics and such so it wasn't just a straight pipe abortion. While I agree it was loud, it sounded really good and powerful. I haven't seen one exhaust offering for the 1125 that would wake the neighbors and believe me I'd like to find one. To me the D & D sound sound is the best for the 1125 engine but I just don't like how it mounts and looks on the bike. If they came up with a design like Keda which hugs the bottom of the bike I'd be all over it. |

Something tells me your expectation of "loud" and many other's is askew by around 30db or so. All of these pipes are realistically too loud for an urban environment. I'd be embarrassed to be on a bike with one coming through downtown Dallas. The echo off the buildings would be very loud, and completely disruptive to pedestrian traffic. It's bad enough when an emergency vehicle comes through with the sirens on, frankly! |

Usmoto - WTF is a cager and who cares? A cager is a person that drives a car, they are 'in a cage' protected from external threats. |

You don't think 1125 aftermarket pipes are loud? When mine is running (with the RT-3)you can't even hear my Cyclone (with a straight pipe) running! |

Usmoto, the problem is that people who don't like it, which is most everyone in a car, doesn't just stay at home, they go out and vote. And that is exactly the reason that in California 2013 and later bikes cannot run any aftermarket pipe - at all. You can be certain the rest of the states will follow shortly. Then we won't need to even have this conversation. " everyone" - most of us learned in grade school that that attitude always has repercussions. |

My RT2 is pretty damn loud so, I don't know what you are talking about. I consider anything louder then the RT2 as a bit excessive. While I want to be heard and seen on the roadway for safety sake, I don't see the need to piss off my neighbors with a pipe that is excessively loud and to be blatantly disrespectful to my neighbors by getting the loudest pipe that I can find with complete disregard for all those in my surrounding area, would be extremely rude. While I don't really care what others think about my preferences, I do have enough respect to not disturb others when they are trying to sleep as I start my bike at 5:30 in the morning. |

Thanks for the cager definition Dannybuell, I kinda thought it was that but wasn't sure. Father... I like the RT exhausts, they do have a good sound. I think I'll buy another stock exhaust and mod the inside to a straight pipe design. I love the Harley sound but really dislike the company. I could care less if they dropped off the planet. My XB12R had an awesome sound with the straight pipe setup. Anyhoo, Merry Christmas to everyone. |
