To all those who might care... Cycle World Radio is done. My show is now gonna be called MOTORCYCLIST RADIO. You don't have to be in Mensa to know what that means. Along with the other radio shows we had embedded with Hachette-Filipacchi brands (Car&Driver, Road and Track, etc), we've moved over to Source Interlink. I've been hosting Motor Trend Radio for the past 8 weeks and will transition to Motorcyclist on 1-1-11. We'll be on the same broadcast channels, and we'll have a podcast feed available. Look at www.entertainmentradionetwork.com for updates. And also there should be ads with links on MotorcyclistOnline.com Open to suggestions for future content... But please don't suggest the obvious... An hour with Erik is gonna be on air well before Daytona if I have my drothers. (And I should, if I can find em. They were right over here on my desk just yesterday...). :-)
p.s. I didn't make the graphic -- they got the image from Motorcyclist Mag. It's someone else on that 848. I think there's a good change we'll be changing that... |

I've always liked Motorcyclist. Any magazine that boast an "Editor at Large" and an "Editor at Extra Large" is OK with me. |

Anything is good as long as it doesn't include Aaron Frank and his opinionated bitching. That guy is the biggest whiner ever. All he did whenever he test rode Buell motorcycles was complain and complain that the bike is not like a mainstream Japanese bike. WTF? Then he defends himself by saying he lives not far from Milwaukee and knows a lot of Buell people. His bitching probably didn't help those Buell people either. |

Good to know you will still be on the air Steve. Did you, the magazine, or just the podcast change hands? |

We had an overall deal with Hachette to license their titles and make radio shows. For a variety of reasons I probably shouldn't go into, we collectively decided it'd be a good idea to seek other arrangements. The people at Source were all too happy to jump in with us, so that's what we did. This had nothing to do with the editorial staffs at either magazine -- it was strictly about business terms with the parent corporations. I'm gonna continue to subscribe to and read both as I always have.... I'll continue to be friends with and have the utmost respect for the extremely talented staff and freelancers who make Cycle World great every month. I'll miss working with those guys... |

Good to know it wasn't hostile. Nothing but the best wishes to you and yours. Any news on where the RSS feed might be hosted? I didn't find any links on motorcyclist.com or entertainmentradionetwork.com. Is it still hosted by radio America? Should I just hold my questions until after the first show? |
