If you look REALLY close you can see the problem here.
One of our sons friends brought there car over get some help working on it this weekend. No idea how long it was driven like that but it must have been a while. Actually asked if I was sure that we couldn't just replace pads !!!
Had to post a pic. I'm sure Charley has seen worse but that's the most torn up rotor I've ever seen.
Sorry I missed the party Matt, Looked like a blast.
I've found the line that separates being motorcycle guy and crazy motorcycle guy. 32F - Last week at 45F everyone assumed I rode to work. Today even the other riders in the office were looking at me a little cross-eyed. A few even stopped in to talk just because I rode in.
Thought I would offer this up to youins first. New, doesn't fit me. Just a tad too big for me. Had it on once to check fit. Wish it fit It's a large. Tag says $100. Looking for $65 shipped to you.
Hey, all. Hope you're enjoying your snow days. My office was closed Monday and Tuesday, and today is discretionary. Living on top of an icy hill and driving a 2WD Ranger with an open diff and no weight in the bed, my discretion says stay at home.
I got a bad cold Monday, but I did manage to have some fun before it set in.
Hey old friends! Been too long. As some of you know I sold my bike and started racing cars. In this adventure, I hooked up with a shock manufacturer for my mustang, that had started producing rebuild-able, re-valvable, adjustable "racing" shocks for the 79-04 mustangs, in a decent price range. I decided to head up to their shop for some in depth understanding of the components in my new investment. As I was leaving, he noticed the Buell sticker on my truck. He mentioned, we make race shocks for those... And my relationship with AST America has grown from there.
They make shocks for every production Buell to date. He has made me an offer I can't refuse. I will be working with/for AST America to build there motorcycle shock inventory and knowledge. A great group of guys who have helped my racing series tremendously! I am honored to help them grow in the two wheeled arena. Which is why I post this information here first.
The most knowledgeable group of Buellers in the country should have the first dibs at the Buell Shocks, to test, tune, and provide feedback to AST. I know these have been available for a while from Holland, in bulk, but now there is American representation for AST and they want to help. AST has their shop in Plano Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and I live about 10 minutes from them. They have a knowledgeable staff and a shock dyno in house, which gets a &#$@ ton of use. The are currently building shocks for Grand-Am, Continental challenge (formerly Koni-challenge), NASA, SCCA, and are willing to work with grass roots racers all the way to pro-team engineers. We would like to see WERA and CMRA on our resume in the near future. AST makes shocks for a few of the motorcycle manufacturers, and are more than willing to expand there housing selection. The Owner of AST in Holland is a HUGE Buell fan. Which is one reason I am willing to put my butt on the line for this adventure. If you guys are interested, let me know! I am more than willing to work with you on price, production, wants, needs , etc. My contact info is below. If you are interested please give me a shout...
P.S. This gives me a reason to come ride with ya! not that I should need one...
