They're showing the episode again. I just LOVE the fact that Jamie (and more importantly, the producers) saw the importance in taking a good 30 seconds of airtime to explain exactly what the bike is! |

It's funny, you know? This makes me think of that whole "tipping point" phenomenon. What if Jamie had done this in 2008 when the bike was fresh and new and the factory in East Troy was humming along? Would that have been part of a wave of greater awareness and appreciation about the bike/brand? Could it have helped move a sufficient number of bikes at a speed that would have kept HD from slamming the doors? We'll obviously never know what might have been, but bigger changes have happened from smaller stimuli. It's the pebble in the pond and the butterfly thing. |
